Description
A blunt flip knife with a sliding blade that runs on an exposed serpentine track, so the whole mechanism is visible through the frame while you work it. It arrives fully built and moving — nothing to fit, nothing to glue, and nothing for you to do but flip it.
This is a fake. There is no cutting edge and no point. It is printed in PETG as a flipping and fidget piece, and it will not cut anything.
The track is the whole trick. The blade carrier has to travel the full serpentine run without binding at the corners and without rattling on the straights, which means every surface along that path is held to a clearance measured in fractions of a millimetre. Tighten it slightly and it jams halfway; loosen it slightly and the action goes vague and the piece stops being satisfying.
