Controllers and consoles, repaired and rebuilt properly. Diagnosis is free and every job is quoted in writing before it starts.
Repairs
- Stick drift — potentiometer or full module replacement, not a cleaning fudge that returns in a month
- Dead or sticking buttons, triggers and bumpers — worn contacts, membranes and switch replacement
- HDMI and USB-C ports — board-level replacement where the port has been torn or worn
- Overheating and loud fans — strip, clean, re-paste and reassemble
- Charging and battery faults — ports, cells and charge circuitry
- Disc drives and card readers — mechanical faults and worn optical assemblies
- Liquid and impact damage — assessed first, quoted honestly, and declined if it is not economical to save
Modifications
- Custom shells and faceplates — housings, trim and button sets in the colour you want
- Lighting — internal LED work, fitted cleanly and wired to survive being used
- Button and stick upgrades — tactile swaps, hall-effect sticks, improved thumbsticks
- Grip and texture work — surfaces that stay put through long sessions
- Deep clean and restoration — second-hand hardware brought back to presentable
Parts
If you would rather do the work yourself, tell us the part you need and we will source and quote it. Sticks, buttons, triggers, ribbon cables, shells and screws.
Turnaround and pricing
- Diagnosis: free, usually within two working days of us receiving the unit
- Most controller work: two to four working days once approved
- Console board-level work: longer, and quoted individually
- Parts are charged at cost plus labour, itemised on the quote
What we do not do
We do not modify system firmware, install unofficial operating software, or work on hardware so that it runs unlicensed games. We repair and we modify physically. That is the line, and we do not move it.
Booking a repair
Email Admin@forgefi.co.za with the make and model, what it is doing, and photographs or a short video of the fault. We will reply with next steps and a collection or drop-off arrangement.
