Description
A print-in-place axolotl, 175 mm nose to tail, with a segmented body and tail that flex along their whole length. Every joint is formed during the build and the model arrives already moving — no assembly needed, it prints ready to flex.
The tail is the interesting part. It steps down through a run of tapering segments to a tip only a few millimetres across, and each of those small joints still has to print with a working clearance inside the segment ahead of it. At that scale there is very little margin between a joint that seizes and one that falls apart.
- Printed as a single continuous body with articulation formed in place
- Segmented spine and tapering tail that flex end to end
- PETG throughout, for impact resistance and strong layer adhesion
- 0.20 mm layer height
- Captured joints that cannot separate or be lost
- Sits flat, curls, and holds a pose
